RT @Taniel: FINALLY New York officials start taking seriously scale of crisis in Rikers & other jails/prisons. Cuomo just ordered release of 1,100 ppl held over technical parole violations (i.e. things like missing curfew). That includes 600 in NYC, which is about ≈12% of jail there.
